I was never quite able to cope with the artistic style of the game. That is very subjective , but it just sort of "turned me off", and at the same time I felt like playing an android game (I know it is available for android as well) . In a sense it felt cheap. This affected me so much, that I can't really say anything about the gameplay elements, because I don't remember much about them.
Unfortunately, I cannot join the great choir which sings praises to this game.

Game is about surviving in world after war, where gangs are raiding so you have to protect what you have but also try gather something new to be more self sufient. Your worst enemies are raiders, hunger, weather, and mental health. I highly recomend this game for anyone, its made in old good fashion way where idea matters more than gfx. Its very light game, so it will run in any pc there is.

This War Of Mine is a clear example of that war hurts. Is very. In this game, you will be in the shoes of survivors of war, and live situations of life and death. You have no medicines or bandages, but the old couple from the other street has, but refuses to help you. What will you do? Think of yourself or others? Kill them, to get resources, but let your sad survivors? Or, all of your shelter are hungry. But it only has a canned. Who will get it? Yeah, that's the kind of situation that occurs with This War Of Mine. By day, improve their shelter and care for their survivors, building tools, resting and taking care of injured. At night, choose any survivors to take a chance to find supplies and resources, and others to sleep or watch the shelter against looters.
Final conclusions: This War Of Mine is a great game, and show a different view of the war. The graphics are dark, cold, seem to gibberish. This reinforces the frustrating and chaotic feeling of war. This game is a masterpiece. It has a simple gameplay, and depicts various civil wars that have already occurred.

A brilliant game, if you want something different from your standard war game. You start out with 3 survivors having just taken refuge in an old abandoned building. Immediately you feel the tense atmosphere, the bombs dropping in the background, the darkness and murkiness setting the scene really well. The first day you might think "oh this game is too easy, I want a bit more challenge." Well the learning curve is steep, and harsh. You will quickly come to realise that stealth is going to be your best friend whilst scavenging. I found myself feeling guilty when robbing an old couple, even though my survivors were about to starve and die from their wounds, there was no other option unless I wanted to risk going up against deserters, bandits, or even the army. Life feels fragile in this game, and every risk feels too big for too little reward. Winter changes the game completely, you thought it was tough before? That seems easy compared to the winter weeks, every hour in the game is a struggle, heating your shelter, feeding your group, obtaining water, everything is so much harder with snow blocking access to many scavenging areas. Anyway I've rambled too much but the main point I'm trying to get across is that this is a fantastic game, unlike any other survival/war game. The only problems I've had is that the interface can be a bit inconvenient at times, and I would like the ability to use the keyboard to move the characters.

Si estas cansado de tanto juego belico mata mata, te recomiendo este juego.
En el encarnas a un grupo de civiles que por desgracia estan atrapados en medio de una guerra y tienen que sobrevivir a toda costa, ya sea rebuscando en escombros o robando a indefensos ancianos. Todas nuestras acciones tendran consecuencias sobre nuestros personajes.
Muy recomendable para quienes busquen algo diferente.

In the play as a group of civilians who are unfortunately caught in the middle of a war and must survive at all costs, whether digging through rubble or robbing defenseless elderly. All our actions will have consequences for our characters.

This game is great. It is different from any other survival game just because you play not as a soldier or extreme badass survivor with rifles and stealth skills, but as a peaceful group of civilians who only want to survive. As you play it you feel sorry for them, I kinda actualy seem to be a part of that. Everything you do have consequences. If you have no choice but to kill simple civilians you kill. If you get sick or wounded and you have no medicine, you die. Just imagine, you do not play as soldier, you play as somebody who suffers from soldiers/war. I have no words to explain how very awesome this game is. I'd say - If you never try it you will never know.

Recently I have come across several great games, that touched my heart. Papers, Please is one, Papo y Yo is another, and now this one.
This War of Mine, apart from inconvenient interface(to me at least, it was not really easy to control all 3 characters at the same time) is a masterpiece, as it doesn't stop at just showing you the horrors of war, but goes further to let you experience them.
You will starve, will get shot, get sick without proper meditation with no hopes of getting out of the mess anytime soon.
Sometimes my grandmother tells me of her experience of the civil war 60 years ago,. and now I can in some way relive it, without having to really fear for my life.
