The critically acclaimed Metal Gear Solid franchise has entertained fans for decades and revolutionized the gaming industry. Kojima Productions once again raises the bar with the FOX Engine offering incredible graphic fidelity and the introduction of open world game design in the Metal Gear Solid universe. This is the experience that core gamers have been waiting for.

    Key Features:

    • THE POWER OF FOX ENGINE – Ground Zeroes showcases Kojima Productions’ stunning FOX Engine, a true next-generation game engine which revolutionizes the Metal Gear Solid experience.

    • INTRODUCTION TO OPEN WORLD DESIGN – The first Metal Gear Solid title to offer open world gameplay. Ground Zeroes offers total freedom of play: how missions are undertaken is entirely down to the user.

    • UNRESTRICTED STEALTH – Imagine classic Metal Gear gameplay but with no restrictions or boundaries. Players use intelligence and cerebral strategy to sneak their way through entire missions, or go in all guns blazing. Each will have different effects on game consequences and advancement.

    • MULTIPLE MISSIONS AND TASKS –Ground Zeroes boasts a central story mode and Side-Ops missions ranging from tactical action, aerial assaults and “covert” missions that will be sure to surprise.

    • REDESIGNED INTERFACE – Ground Zeroes users will benefit from a clean in-game HUD that shows the minimal amount of on-screen data to give a more intense gaming experience.

    Solid PC Port
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is simply a masterpiece and a showcase of what Kojima Productions is working towards with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Yes, it is technically a prologue that you get to play while Kojima finishes work on the final product, but on its own, it’s perfectly suited for introducing gamers to the world of Big Boss, and the evolution of the stealth-action franchise. Ground Zeroes, while brief, is worthy of purchase. The PC port is one of the best examples of how to bring a console title to PC, demonstrated by its extra graphical tweaks specifically for PC gamers.

Overall Ground Zeroes is a package that is well worth the investment for fans and newcomers alike because it’s one of the best stealth games I’ve played in years. The mythology of Metal Gear Solid is deep and rich for exploration and gamers will have hours of content to explore in this title and in the previous games. I am excited to see exactly what The Phantom Pain will be like if its anything like the sandbox Ground Zeroes. It’s a great introduction to the new world of Metal Gear Solid with fantastic evolution of the stealth game play mechanics that Kojima started perfecting decades ago.

    An Awkward Yes!
I originally played this game on the Playstation 4, when I first got into the game, I was really excited but the main downfall for me being a MGS fan is the change from David Hayter to Kiefer Sutherland for the main voice of Big Boss.

Putting that aside, the game is visually stunning and the game can be played as the MGS series should be played - stealth! However, if you prefer going in loud, this play style can also be done. (Bit of both worlds)

This game though is more of a taster - a prologue, so keep that in mind when playing. There are multiple missions to do, however the missions are different but they are on the same level. (some in the day, some in the night)

Due to the small amount of game you actually have access too compared to the upcoming full release "Phantom Pain", I wouldn't think this game is worth paying more than £10-£15.

The game run smoothly on my computer (spec below) and everything running on maximum settings on 1920x1080 resolution.

    The gameplay - 9/10
    The sound - 9/10
    The graphics - 9/10
The voice - 5/10 (No more David Hayter!)
    The game length - 4/10

(Played this using a Xbox 360 controller wireless)

My computer specs as of 09/05/15:
    MSI Z97 Gaming7 | Intel i7 4790K @ 4Ghz W/Corsair H100i | ZOTAC GTX 770 AMP! Edition | HyperX Beast 16GB DDR3 2400Mhz | EVGA Supernova G2 750W
    Crucial MX100 512GB SSD
