While a lot of people seem to have reviewed HOTS itself I'm more inclined to review the product.

Make no mistake, this product is in no way required to own or play Heroes of the Storm, it is simply a 'booster pack' of sorts that gives you early and permanent access to 5 characters, a unique character skin and a unique mount for your characters in-game, all items in the pack with the exception of the mount can be purchased in the in-game store or for in-game currency, now with that in mind the cost of all these items would be a lot greater if you bought them separately.

For example the minimum cost for a hero not on "sale" is around £2.99 but some range up to £7.99, (for all intensive purposes we'll say they cost £2.99 each this time) you get 5 characters in this pack so automatically that would be £14.95, the skin would average around £5.99 and the mount if purchasable would be around £7.99, that's a total minimum of £28.93 giving you a saving of around £20 for the whole pack if not more.

Blizzard have made it now that if you buy a skin for a character you do not already own you get the character for free, so if you redeem the Zeratul skin first you get the character without having to use the extra code, meaning you could sell it on or give it to a friend.

TL;DR: if you're considering spending real money on the game, buy this as it will save you a bundle!

HOTS is a blast for this MOBA genre that everybody is talking about! Don t get me wrong, I m a DOTA veteran, a good LOL player and I played HON and Infinte Crisis as well. HOTS is one of the best and one thing that really sets it apart is the community which is very important imo. No toxic players, no swearing and stuff, thanks to blizzard as well because there is no chatting the enemy.
Anyway, as others said it, it s easier than DOTA and LOL - one good reason is that it doesn t have items- but it does not lack depth or complexity.
The talent system is brilliant and what makes it very good is the leveling of the heroes, account, team etc.
Blizzard shows us that when it comes to leveling , "he" is a true artist. The personalisation is so great that I spend a lot of minutes out of the game just looking into it.
The gameplay is majestic, the maps are very fun even though some of them need a bit of rework and balance but overall this is a great game and most importantly-free to play.
Only one thing that really annoys me is that heroes are very expensive-in terms of money or ingame currency- not all of them, that`s true, you can buy some of them with 2000, 4000 gold which is very affordable thanks to quests and the newly introduced goblin hunt which gives you an additional 100 gold! So far so good, let`s see what Blizzard gives in the next patches and expansions!

Heroes has a ton of depth, it's very well balanced (though not perfect), and nearly every cast member is a blast to play. It achieves almost everything it sets out to accomplish, so I really hope it catches on with the non-believers and continues to grow.

Played Dota 2 and LoL and this feels and is easier to get into and has a good structure for getting into it.

The blizzard characters are fun to play as and vary drastically between most in the way you have to play to be effective. They are true to their game counterparts.
